Brief Profile of the Department

Government of Tripura has approved the subject of Education as one of the Major and General subjects in Bachelor Degree Programme (B.A) and in the same year the College has introduced the Subject with an objective to prepare the students for Higher education.

Strength of the Department

a) Department has efficient and dedicated faculties. They are very Cooperative

and sit together to solve the Academic and personal problems of the

themselves updated on the latest trend of education and related areas.

d) Faculty members have participated and presented papers in national and

Books are generally provided for only reading purposes to the students.

training organize by the Institution.

h) On 1st and 3rd Saturday students are given coaching on various competitive

related to subject.

per the UGC Guidelines

Weakness of the Department

a) Shortage of sufficient number of permanent faculties and non-faculties staff.

b) Some of the admitted student are not of critical minimum learning skill

c) The existing physical infrastructure is not sufficient to disseminate quality


d) There is dearth of faculty member in the department
