Yesterday, the 10th January, 2025 , was a proud moment for the Department of Chemistry , Maharaja Bir Bikram College , Agartala , as the Department had organised an important and pertinent programme i. e , a "Popular Lecture" which was delivered by Prof. Purnendu Kanti Das, retired Reader, Department of Chemistry, MBB College on the topic “Life and work of two times Nobel Laureate Marie Curie” at Chemistry Gallery. Prof. Das has served in this department for about 33 years (1970 to 2003). The students as well as the teachers have been motivated and inspired by his extraordinary and illuminating lecture. Most importantly, our present students were excited to interact with Purnendu Sir and perhaps could able to feel the warmness, the dedication, the legacy and the brilliance of this Department.
