The great Indian Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan Aiyangar was born on 22nd December' 1887. In 2011, on the 125th anniversary of his birth, the Indian government declared that 22 December will be celebrated every year as National Mathematics Day. Later in 2012 keeping in mind his substantial contribution to the field Mathematics, then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh announced, 22nd December as National Mathematics Day. we had celebrated this day in befitting manner on 24th December' 2021 in the conference room of New Science Building. Dr. Premtosh Majumder, President, Tripura Mathematical Society and Prof. B. C. Tripathy, Dept. of Mathematics, T.U. was our resource persons for the celebration. At the end of the programme, open quiz was conducted for student participants.
